We Heart It.
This is so stupid. First of all there have been protests for Syria so just stop. Second, we are talking about two totally different situations with two totally different circumstances. People protest Israel becuause they violate human rights while claiming to be a democracy with the support of the US who also claims to be a/fight for democracy. Thats what you do in democratic countries, you protest! Im not saying the US and Israel are ideal democracies but they claim to be and the people believe they are and so that is how they react to their war crimes; by protesting. The Syrian dictator Bashar Al Assad is a DICTATOR. HE DOES NOT GIVE TWO SHITS ABOUT HIS PEOPLE, THEIR RIGHTS, OR THEIR LIVES. Unlike Israel and the US he doesnt even care to cover up the atrocities he has comitted becuause he is a DICTATOR; and everyone knows that. He doesnt care if people know that he killed innocent children with gas because hes never tried to hide under the veil of democracy. Hes horrible and he knows that everyone knows it and he doesnt care. And that is why although there have been protests, they have not been at the same scale as the protests against Israel. Because protesting against dictators and their government is useless; if he will kill 200,000 of his own, hes not going to care about 10,000 protesters. At this point, the media and the people know he is bad and know of the things he has done. Israel on the other hand, is still portrayed as the victim and as if they are just defending themselves from “terrorists”. They continue to get US support and are protected by the media, and THAT is why you have tens of thousands protesting Israel. Because we know Assad is a monster, but Israel and their intentions have YET to be unmasked.
